Jacoby Jones recieves dui Arrest

In just the latest in a long string of famous-person arrests for either drunk driving or something similiar such as DWI or reckless driving, Jacoby Jones, who just happens to be the wide receiver of the NFL franchise team the Houston Texans, has been arrested in the downtown area of Houston, Texas several days ago….. Sice that time he has been released on bail following the arrest for driving under the influence. There is no word as of yet how his NFL employers will deal with this news, but whikle a suspension is unlikely, a team fine seems possible based on some previous cases. Well,my guess is that he has a pretty good lawyer over there.

According to a Houston Police Department spokesperson, Sergeant John Chomiak ,it was not yet clear as to why exactly the police officers in the case found probable cause to pull the athlete’s car over at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning on
Chartres near the downtown section of Houston and there is a DWI investigation still ongoing at this time. It was madereasonably clear that there was no automobile accident involved when the Houston Police Dept. officers pulled the car he was in over. So it is still unknown what gave the HPD officers reason to pull Jones over, but they probably will release more pertinent details in the near future.

During the time of his arrest he was taken into official police custody, where he was charged with the crime of driving while intoxicated. He then had his bail set at $500, which was later paid in full. He was then released after the bail was paid that day and it has been reported that this was his only driving under the influence offense to date. There has been no comment up to this point from Jones or his team about this weekend incident of driving under the influence or what will happen to his participation with his football team. By the way if you live in Houston, Texas and need a superb Houston family law lawyer

then by all means take a look at the Law Offices of Shahin Zamir and Brad Tilton. They are definately among the very best lawyers available in both Houston as well as the surrounding areas. Barron Hilton charged with drunk driving and other dui news

This St. Patrick’s Day in order to try to decrease the quantity of DUI or DWI accidents over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend the California Highway Patrol has announced the AVOID program. This according to the California Highway Patrol Commissioner is not designed to make arrests but to decrease the amount of accidents and save lives.

They are reminding those individuals who wish to celebrate that they should have someone in their party who can be their designated driver or conversely make other arrangements to stay the night at the drinking location. This is in an effort to keep impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel and has included specifically the Bay Area. If not then one should retain a lawyer first.

During St. Patrick’s Day in California in 2007, the numbers prove that there were 16 deaths on the roads and all were due to DUI accidents, soberingly enouph.

So inn an attempt to lower the amount of accidents from last year’s sorry statistics there will be extra California Highway Patrol officers on the highways and freeways this year during the holiday weekend. While there are no reports of roadblocks these particular police officers will be watching for any erratic driving that may indicate a driver is under the influence. Speaking of dui news, it was reported that Barron Hilton, who happens to be the eighteen year old brother of Paris Hilton, has been charged by LAPD with drunken driving, sadly enouph for him. The LA prosecutors office has already filed some 4 misdemeanor charges against him, such as driving under the influence as well as the less serious charge of not having a valid state’s driver’s license. Like sister like brother I suppose Meanwhile, in related California legal news, Tai Huynh, who is a police officer for the Huntington California Police Department.

This event got rolling at the Nixon Library for his DUI arrest record during 2007 where he is credited with arresting 467 impaired drivers. This could set a record in Orange County, as the record for the year prior was 325 DUI/DWI arrests during the year in question. Further legal news articles and reports may be found over at the Legal news Weblog

Sergeant Rob Warden stated that he was constantly on patrol. While the golden state has been noted for it’s DWI activity as of late, there are other bad parts of the country as well. Houston, Texas, for example, has been exspecially hard hit by such issues. Incidentially, if you happen to live in Houston, Texas and require a superb Houston dui lawyer

then do check out Law Offices of Shahin Zamir. P. Ditty Making California Streets Safer?

There have been reports in the news as of late that the rap producer/entertainer and Sean Combs, who also goes by the name P. Ditty and formerly Puff Daddy or Puffy Combs, is in the middle of starting an auto service for those on the particular celebrities whom he fthinks will assist them to party responsibly and his main motive, he says, is to reduce celebrity DUI cases, which have been soaring as of late. There have been numerous DUI arrests in recent months in the celebrity circuit and the service in question would bring those to an abrupt end. I mean, let’s face facts, the biggest expense for most of these famous people has been their attorney fees.

Here are a few details: A story in the magazine ‘Us Weekly’ claims that a representative for Combs said he plans to make the streets of
California more safe by opening a car service to transport celebrities after they have had alcohol. It was also stated that he wants to see that no one is arrested and that there is a lack of cabs in the city.

In addition, he has partnered up with Ciroc Vodka and so far there has been little mention of what the new car service will actually be called or for that matter when it will begin to service
Hollywood’s famous.

This is but one of the high profile rap singers business enterprises and it is planned to make the streets safer and cut down on the number of celebrity arrests, while at the same time making the lives of the Paparazzi much more dull and mundane.

All in all, this comes at a particular juncture when many famous people have been receiving either drunk driving or reckless driving arrests. One of the latest victims of this trend is Scott Weiland, the lead singer of the rock bands the ‘Stone Temple Pilots’ and more recently, the all-star band ‘The Velvet Revolvers’. He was pulled over on a
Los Angeles highway recently and refused to submit to a sobriety test. Other celebrities which have been involved in either dui or reckless driving in recent memory include actor Kiefer Sutherland, boxer Mike Tyson, model and heiress Paris Hilton, singer Britney Spears and actress Hillary Duff. Not only are there a lot of dui cases among celebrities but there are also many among other high profile people throughout the country as well. For instance, For instance,

Seattle city Councilwoman Jane Hague recently recieved six months of probation not to mention seventy-five odd hours of community service, according to her lawyer. One Seattle Criminal Attorney is Mark C. Blair. He can help you with dui, drug offenses, white collar or blue collar crime, fraud and any other number of legal matters if you happen to reside in the greater

Seattle area. he is simply a wonderful Seattle criminal attorney. By all means give him a call for a consultation at no charge.

Celebrity Gossip from Los Angeles: Scott Weilan gets dui and other Criminal News

According to an article first reported by the esteemed Reuters Network, Scott Weilan, the red haired lead singer for rock group “Stone Temple Pilots” has pleaded
innocent in court earlier this week for a dui charge which evidentially came about via late 2007 arrest on a Los Angeles roadway.
Maybe he should re-name his group the Stoned Temple Pilots. In any case, he is also the lead singer of the rock group
called ‘Velvet Revolver’ which is relatively new and also features ex-Guns & Roses. The singer is out on bail at this time
and is supposed to be back in the courtroom on April 4th of this year. If conviced he will likely face up to one year in prison as he has a previous conviction for dui on his record as well,
a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has been quoted as saying. He was first arrested after driving on a Los Angeles freeway (apparently erratic, if the charge is in fact proven)
and then not cooperating in regards to a sobriety test which was to be administered by the relevent authorities. Incidentially if you are in southern Cal and require a first rate accident lawyer Los Angeles then look no further than the Law Offices of Steven Sweat. He is one of the very best there is at what he does. So if you need an accident lawyer Los Angelesor perhaps a personal injury attorney for workplace accidents or a drunk driving lawyer be sure to give Steve a call. Him and his highly rated firm will provide outstanding servce you can be sure.Yes, that will usually be enouph to do it, even if you happen to be a famous name, and even if you have a high powered lawyer. As a matter of fact, dui has been a very serious issue in the Los Angeles locality as of late, at least more so than usual (it has always been pretty bad for drunk drivers). For example, Los Angeles has so many individuals doing community service due to dui that they are starting to
be employed for getting the garbage off of the roads. He was taken into custody after refusing to take a sobriety test. This attempt to keep the highways nice and clean continues on and this year in an event called California Litter Removal Day the state employed the use of dui offenders,
every one of them suited in their unique orange vests. It seems that in many instances their lawyer got them a plea deal reduced from a toupher criminal sentence, such as reckless driving or whatever, which is of course far superior than going to jail with the hardened criminal class as it were.
For them mission was to remove the litter on sections of the I-5 as well as other parts of the Los Angeles freeway system.
These dui offenders collected just under three million pounds of garbage during their communit service commitment.
All in all, dui is a rising criminal problem in many areas of the nation these days.
For instance, Seattle city Councilwoman Jane Hague just got six months of probation plus seventy-five odd hours of community service, according to her lawyer.
Other areas that have been hard hit by drunk driving include Denver, Colorado and Austin, Texas.
